Indian origin businessman Vivek Taneja dies days after being attacked in America

Vivek Taneja: An Indian-origin businessman died after a violent attack in Washington city of America. On February 2, 41-year-old Vivek Taneja had a violent clash with a man over some issue, following which Taneja was seriously injured. In the last few days, there has been an increase in the incidents of attacks on people of Indian origin, especially students, in America, which has increased the concern of the authorities.

The case unfolded when law enforcement responded to a report of an attack on the 1100 block of 15th Street Northwest, just outside Shoto’s Restaurant, around 2 a.m. Upon reaching there, officers found Vivek Taneja lying seriously injured on the sidewalk. He was immediately taken to the hospital but on Wednesday he lost the battle of life due to serious injuries.

Initially, it was revealed that after a verbal dispute, an unknown person fatally attacked Vivek Taneja, after which Taneja fell on the ground, due to which he suffered a serious head injury. Police are now considering Vivek Taneja’s death as murder and have started an investigation.

This entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera. Following this, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has sought assistance from the public to identify and locate the suspect.

Vivek Taneja, co-founder and chairman of Dynamo Technologies, played a key role in the company’s strategic growth and partnership initiatives.

MPD has announced a reward for anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crime. Recently, several incidents of attacks on people of Indian origin have been reported one after the other in America.

Recently, an incident of attack on Indian student Syed Mazahir Ali came to light in Chicago. At the same time, in Lithonia city of Georgia, 25-year-old student Vivek Saini was violently attacked by a homeless drug addict. Four other incidents of death of Indian-origin students have also been reported in the United States this year.
